Swansea City not fit for purpose yet again ! Sat 03rd Apr 2021 09:00
As if it couldn’t get any worse for Steve Cooper’s swans, once high flying after beating Norwich City 2-0 and in second place in the league, they are now just a very ordinary football team that seems rudderless and without direction. The latest defeat to Birmingham City was nothing more than dreadful, not only to watch but in its administration from the touchline.
Swansea City need look nowhere else for blame if they don’t make it to the premier league Thu 01st Apr 2021 12:28
It’s the last part of the season, those final games where destiny in the case of Swansea City is firmly within their own making. The last two months haven’t made pleasant reading for the swans, it hasn’t been at all good. However, the race is on and of the swans fail, they will only have themselves to blame.
Conor Hourihane isn’t getting the plaudits from everyone that’s for sure - and here is why Sun 21st Mar 2021 10:59
Swansea City fans, us here at the Independent included, were absolutely delighted to learn of the arrival of Conor Hourihane at the Liberty, but it seems that relationship has gone sour. The way the swans play either isn’t suiting his game or his desire to turn his time at the Liberty in to a memorable one just isn’t there. Conor Hourihane is under scrutiny.
Swansea City will make football history this weekend Fri 19th Mar 2021 11:20
It’s the eve of the South Wales derby, the biggest fixture in Welsh football, the hardest ninety minutes of any game these players will be involved in this season both mentally and physically. The coolest minds, the most collective mindsets, the ability of each player, the belief in themselves and the desire to win for a whole city are the qualities required. And Swansea City have them all. In abundance.

This wasn’t the be all and end all of games, it wasn’t even a defining moment in the season that has seen the swans in contention again for the premier league. What it was last night on the south coast of England was confirmation that Swansea City, despite their desire to win every game possible haven’t got the tools to do so. The swans will make the play offs but any more matches like the one we witnessed last night in Bournemouth, and indeed at Huddersfield and it will be another tale of so close but so far.

All supporter eyes from the world of football fandom will be on Ewood Park, Blackburn tonight as the swans visit Lancashire for a second attempt at completing this fixture. Andre Ayew has been the mainstay on the pitch for the swans, described by keeper Freddie Woodman as having ‘ ice in his veins’ the swans will look to the FIFA rule on eligibility if you have to quarantine for more than five days to be implemented.
Why Swansea City ? : Getting inside the referee’s head Mon 08th Mar 2021 10:00
In the light of recent events we reproduce our article on bias in refereeing. Absolutely undeniable and backed up by professionals. This was written after the Bristol City away game earlier on this season. The facts though will always be the same. The likes of a ranting Warnock after Saturday, if he has the intelligence, should take note.
